Scope of Work
This is a complete turnkey repair for all non-emergency faults, including primary (URD), secondary (LSM), street lights and service cable.
- Locate faults (primary faults located by ComEd).
- Pull initial fault information from ComEd system (PassPort).
- Excavate splice pit.
- Repair faulted cable.
- Perform required restoration switching.
- Backfill and landscape pit.
- Maintain backlog of faults within super regional targets.
- Close out tasks in PassPort.
Unusual Challenges
Needed schedule rotation from regional areas to satisfy ComEd’s union agreement concerning overtime penalty issues (Valtin agreement).
Creative Solutions
Paperless pouch process eliminated ComEd clerical union issues and brought back office efficiencies to the program.
