Location
2121 Sheridan Rd, Evanston, IL.

Scope of Work

  • Install 770’ lineal feet of 6” Poly and 300’ lineal Feet of 4” Poly Header pipe.
  • Install 3530’ lineal feet of 40mm Poly supply and return pipe from (36) well locations to manifold chamber.
  • Install (2) underground manifold chambers.
  • Install all fusions at well locations and manifold chambers.
  • Install all fusions for header conduits at manifold chambers and building entrance.
  • Install by-pass valves and isolation valves for continuation to internal system.

Unusual Challenges
Intren was required to mobilize within 24 hours to start project due to asphalt/parking schedule turnover date. Intren encountered numerous scope changes as well as large amounts of public interest and traffic due to classes being in session at time work was performed. Existing gas service was within scope of work and needed to be moved prior to our install.

Creative Solutions
Intren used our gas resources to have existing gas service disconnected and re-installed as our client could not perform as well as had no resources at that time. Intren using our internal resources ensured that project was completed in time and parking lot was finished and ready for restoration within schedule.
